Anna Liu

Anna received her Diploma of Massage therapy from Sutherland-Chan School (Canada) in 2002. Since graduating, she has worked in various private practices in Toronto treating athletes of all different levels. With a background in dance, she brings a unique knowledge of the body to her practice.

Anna is a great believer in lifelong learning and continues to add to her practice. She has taken courses in Cranio Sacral Therapy, Reiki, Advanced Soft Tissue Manipulation of the cervical spine, and also courses working towards a Diploma in Natural Nutrition.

Her interests include running, Pilates, yoga, hiking and strength training. She has completed two half marathons and hopes to better her time. As well, she is looking forward to improving her Cantonese while in Hong Kong.

Ashley McDonald

Ashley McDonald received her Diploma of Massage Therapy from McKay School (Canada) in June 2007. She worked in private practice in Canada before joining Sutherland-Chan Centre, Hong Kong in October 2007. Ashley developed a great passion for body health due to her own injuries. She began to see a Massage Therapist and not only did they help her body, they inspired Ashley to become one as well.

Ashley is bilingual, speaking both English and French fluently. As well, she has spent many years dedicated to sports such as volleyball, track and field, figure skating, swimming and tennis. As an avid athlete, Ashley has taken particular interest in sports massage. She is also especially interested in the treatments of Whiplash, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Constipation and Back Pain.

Jenny K. Woolsey

Jenny received her Diploma of Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan School (Canada) in 1998. She then practiced Massage Therapy in various private practices across Canada, before coming to Hong Kong in 2001. After working with a cutting- edge Hong Kong Physiotherapy clinic for four years, she co-founded the very first dedicated Massage Therapy clinic in Hong Kong in July 2005: Sutherland-Chan Centre Hong Kong.

Jenny has a vibrant general practice, with a special interest in treatment of Cervical Spine and TMJ dysfunction (neck and jaw), and also in treatment of Chronic Pain.

Ky Jablonowski

Ky received his Diploma of Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan School (Canada) in June 2006. He has been working in private practice in Toronto ever since. After learning the art of soft tissue manipulation as a way of coping with intense growing pains as a child, Ky brings a lifetime of unique experience to the treatment room.

Also a student of Qigong, Ky’s treatment focuses on the use of appropriate breathing techniques, direct soft tissue manipulation, and a highly personalized remedial exercise programme to help bring relief and enhancement to every condition.

At a height of 6 feet 10 inches (208 cm), Ky is not only be our first male therapist, but by far the tallest!

Sandy Duncan - Intern

Sandy received her Diploma in Remedial Massage from T.A.F.E., New South Wales, Australia, in December 2006. Having grown up in Australia with a very active lifestyle Sandy’s interest in massage and its healing effect began when she tore her hamstring in her early 20's. Massage was one of the modalities that helped her to a full recovery.

Before relocating to Hong Kong, Sandy worked with 2 New South Wales Rugby League Under 18's and Under 16's Representative teams in pre and post game massage. Her focus was on getting young players to understand how to prevent or minimize injuries through massage and self care. Sandy has excellent touch, and gives a great, thorough treatment.

Sher Martelle

Sher Martelle received her Diploma of Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan School (Canada) in July 2004. She has been practicing full-time ever since, and loves it! She joined Sutherland-Chan Centre, Hong Kong in October 2005.

This is a 2nd career choice for Sher, following a decade in Canada as a Producer for major media. It was this lifestyle that drove Sher to massage therapy - first as a personal healthcare choice, later as a career.

Sher is an avid runner, hiker and dragon boater. She brings this interest in fitness to her treatment, as well as an intimate knowledge of the effects of stress on the body!

Summie Tam

Summie received her Diploma of Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan School (Canada) in 2001, practicing Massage Therapy in various clinics in Markham, Ontario before joining Sutherland-Chan Centre, Hong Kong in May 2006. Summie also holds an Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science, and has been a Certified Fitness Counselor for the past eight years.

Originally from Hong Kong, Summie is a fluent speaker of Cantonese, English and Mandarin, a competitive Dragon Boater and an enthusiastic athlete.

With the exceptional combination of her training and experience, post-graduate work in Advanced Myofascial release, TMJ (jaw) Dysfunction and Hot Stone Massage, Summie is a strong believer in natural therapies, helping her clients to naturally improve their quality of life.
