Jeffrey Lenz
Massage techniques/ areas of focus or modality you specialize in:
I am able to employ a variety of massage techniques such as, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage to create a treatment tailor made for the individual needs of my clients.
What types of patients you frequently treat:
Clients who see me receive a combination of these treatment approaches to not only treat their main concern, but also search for and correct the underlying root of the problem. Swedish Massage reduces stress, muscle tension and blood pressure, while improving sleep quality. I also include Lymphatic Drainage Massage to reduce swelling and speed healing after injury or surgery. A key focus of my treatment is to assess for any muscular imbalances. These can lead to poor posture, that over time can predispose towards pain or injury.
Professional Experiences:
I have worked in diverse settings from on-site at sporting events to 5 star spas and physiotherapy clinics. I have provided treatments to Royalty, Heads of State, CEO's, Olympic Athletes, Film and Television Stars, Professional Sports Teams including The New Zealand All Blacks, and Dance Companies including Hofesh Shechter.
Practice what I preach:
Leading an active lifestyle is important to me. Not only does it help me stay healthy and energetic, but it gives me insight into my work. Learning different sports and activities allows me to better understand the needs of clients.
Some of the sports I have taken part in are Pairs Figure Skating, Triathlon, Nordic Skiing, Crossfit, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Body Pump, Spinning, Yoga, and Curling.
I practice what I preach when it comes to self-care, and can often be found foam rolling or using a massage ball. Many of the exercises, stretches, and self-care advice I prescribe after treatment, comes from my own personal athletic endeavours and curiosity.

What sparked your interest in massage therapy?
I always wanted to be in health care. I was always fascinated with the effectiveness of Massage Therapy and the complexity of the human anatomy, especially during the healing process. Massage therapy has provided me with many direct and indirect benefits, particularly for my past injuries. I now strive to assist, educate and empower people to manage their health and wellness.
Why do you think patients should utilize massage?
Being pro-active and taking preventative measures for your health can assist greatly in your well being. I think many people do not know when they are uncomfortable, or if there is an issue, until they are told, or they experience excruciating discomfort. Symptoms are only one of many health indicators.
Projects or initiatives you are a part of in the Hong Kong community:
Focus on female leadership and youth empowerment in Hong Kong
What patients need to know about you or your style of treatment
My approach to massage is to identify the cause and treat the cause. It is important to identify where the discomfort stems from, and not where the symptoms are felt. I work with the patient on their treatment plan and together, we work to address the issue. Engagement is key.
Fun facts about Sydney:
I moved to Hong Kong in January 2019 and I have scuba dived in Honduras, Dominican Republic, and Thailand.
